November 2016 Teaching Letter - Divine Life
John 4:14, "But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." A revelation that the church needs to get is the new birth. Eternal, everlasting, perpetual, zoe, life of God is for right here and right now. How do I know that the church does not have the revelation of it? Listen to the songs and the prayers that are all focused on revival today. Look at the actions of the people in the church today. I would say that the present state of the church today is on a quest to get God to give them something that is already given them.
Romans 8:11, "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you." 2 Corinthians 3:6, "Who also has made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life." John 7:38, "He that believes on me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." Galatians 3:5, "He that ministers the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does he do it by works of the law or by the hearing of faith?" What faith is he talking about? The born-again faith! Faith in Jesus Christ. Faith in the finished work. Faith in the grace! Notice it is not by gifting, not by special anointing, but by faith!
The ministry of the Christian is the ministry of the Spirit. The ministry of the Christian is the ministry of the divine life of God. Jesus used different methods and the church focuses on methods. This is wrong. There is a grace side of the Holy Spirit of life, the divine life of God, and there is a faith side. Our faith in Jesus received Him, Jesus, Grace and everything that the Holy Spirit can give. Ephesians 1:3, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ." 1 John 5:1, 4-5, "Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone that loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him. For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?"
Our faith in Him releases Him, Jesus, grace and everything that the Holy Spirit can give. Galatians 3:5. Dr. John G. Lake said that there are two ingredients necessary for an act of God. They are faith and power and of the two, he said faith is more important, because faith directs the power. So for us it's not about healing, or deliverance, or power or anointing - It's Him! It's all life! It's all the person and life of the Holy Spirit, that we are possessed by Him and He is a possession of us through faith in Jesus Christ. For us it's not about faith anymore, because we received His faith the day we were born-again. Galatians 2:20; 1 John 5:1-5; Romans 10:17. Now it's about believing or receiving or acting like it is so, based on the knowledge, the revelation knowledge, of what the Scriptures teach about that life of the Holy Spirit and the faith of Jesus which we now have.
The New Testament is all about the new creation. The Spirit of life now indwells the believer, not falling, not showing up, but manifested at will, which is a state of being by faith. John 5:19-26 with John 14:12. Jesus said that He could of Himself do nothing, but what He saw the Father do He did likewise. As the Father raises up the dead and gives life even so the Son gives life to whom He wills. As the Father has life in Himself so He has given to the Son to have
life in Himself. Whatever we say about Jesus we must say about ourselves, because that's what the new creation is all about. It's not the method, but faith! How do I pray? What do I say? How do I minister? By faith! Faith in Him! Faith in the grace! Faith in the grace releases the person and power of the Holy Spirit, the divine life of God in us.
